There is nothing nicer than the sound of rain on the window.

I have always found the sound of water soothing, rain on windows, trickling brooks and the sound of the sea lapping on the shore. Each of these sounds evokes a sense of calmness. Over the recent weeks I have become particularly aware of the sound of rain on the skylight window above the area that I have set up as a work space at home. I take solace from being inside and enjoy the sense of warmth that listening to the rain evokes. I wanted to try and recreate this sensory experience with my own photographs. I decided to use my own photographs and experiment with projections. I chose the image so that the colours resonated with the coldness of the rain but they were not dark and gloomy, embracing that sense of peace that I wanted to communicate.
